The Louisiana Community Food Pantry has been blessed by some extremely generous young people – a small, but mighty, Girl Scout troop and the youth group that is sponsored by the First Baptist Church have both gone above and beyond to help the pantry.
However on Thursday, August 3, the Pantry received gifts from its youngest benefactors to date.
Miss Lylah Diffey heard about the Pantry and its mission to help children have more food to eat. She told her parents that she wanted to use some of her own money to help get food for those who need it.
With help from her sister Isabelle and encouragement from her mom and dad, Kyle and Leah Diffey, Lylah delivered tomatoes and a cash donation to the Pantry Thursday evening.
If you take a look at the photo, you’ll see why the folks at the Pantry are so pleased to receive a donation from the Diffey girls. What an extraordinary gift!
