The new owners of Fat Boys restaurant in downtown Louisiana identified themselves Saturday evening as Richie Holland and Melissa Malcom.
The restaurant’s owners announced Thursday that they would be closing the restaurant at 123 S. Third St. as it transitioned to new—but still local—ownership. At the time, people related to the transaction declined to identify the restaurant’s new owners.
Malcom and Holland came forward as the restaurant’s new owners in a Facebook post:
“We know everyone is curious about who the new owners of Fat Boys are so we’d like to let you all know it’s us, Richie Holland & Melissa Malcom. We are both excited & eager to get the restaurant back up and going. Please be patient as we get everything in order. We look forward to seeing you all once we reopen.”
