St. Clement Bids Peckman Adieu

Posted on Monday, July 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm

Following Sunday morning Mass, members of the congregation at St. Clement Catholic Church paused to honor their priest, Father Bill Peckman, who has been reassigned to another parish near Boonville.
Peckman, who first came to St. Clement eight years ago, was presented with a commemorative garden tile by members of the congregation. The tile includes the logo of the church parish and the parish name.
In his remarks prior to the presentation, parish member Ryan Bibb described Peckman as an incredible mentor.
“I know that I am a better man because of the counseling of this man,” Bibb said.
Bibb’s praise was seconded by several members of the local Catholic Church parish.
“We will miss him,” Larry Twellman said in an interview on Sunday. Twellman, who retired two years ago from the St. Clement Catholic School Principal, worked alongside the departing priest. “He has been good to us, so yes, we will miss him. At the same time we are welcoming our new pastor.”
