Due to the success of the PCMH Walk-In Clinic, Pike County Memorial Hospital continued to look for ways to provide more services and resources for the county. PCMH was recently notified by the State of Missouri- Department of Health and Senior Services- Primary Care Resource Initiative for Missouri (PRIMO) that they were awarded over $110,000 for new radiology equipment for the PCMH Medical Walk-In Clinic in Bowling Green.
In PCMH’s submission, it was noted that a 2016 Community Health Needs Assessment identified the need for the community to have access to non-urgent care with extended evening hours and weekend services. Having onsite x-ray equipment will help provide cost and time savings to our patients and insurance sources.
“We have been fortunate to be a recipient for funding for these worthy projects that help fulfill these needs and provide access to care for our community,” said Lisa Pitzer, RN, PCMH Med/Surg Director . Lisa Pitzer played a vital role in receiving this funding by submitting the application and all the required documentation to support the application.
