Ron Starman age 55, of Rockport, Ill., passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 at the Pike County Memorial Hospital.
Memorial visitation was held Friday, May 30, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home.
Ronald was born April 6, 1959, in Louisiana the son of John Leroy and Lois Carr Starman. On April 22, 1977 in Barry, Ill., he married Carla Crook. She survives.
Other survivors include: mother Lois Starman, Louisiana; son Kyle Starman, Rockport, Ill.; daughter Kayla Starman, Hannibal; two brothers John Starman Jr. and friend Nikki McCulley, of Louisiana, Robert Starman and wife Toni Clarksville; two sisters Sue Griffith and husband Warren, Battlefield, and Pamela Stoddard and husband Randy, Republic; many nieces, nephews and his special dog Harlee. He is preceded in death by his father and close uncle Art Starman.
Ron grew up in Louisiana, graduated from Louisiana High School in 1977, and lived in the Twin Pike County area all of his life. He worked at PCMH for over 25 years in maintenance where he became the supervisor. He also worked at NECC men’s and WERDCC women’s facility obtaining rank of Captain. Ron enjoyed all forms of sports including working, coaching and mentoring kids. He also enjoyed rescuing dogs and cats, woodworking and gardening.

Warren Breite, 81, of Frankford, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 4, at Baue Funeral Home in St. Charles. Burial will be in New Bethlehem Cemetery in Bellefontaine Neighbors. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 3 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Baue funeral home in St. Charles.
He was the loving husband of Dorothy Marie Breite (nee: Pfitzinger); beloved son of the late Max Breite, Sr. and the late Louise Breite; devoted father of Dr. W. Mark (Lisa) Breite, John (Leslie) Breite and the late Paul Breite; dear brother of Earl Breite; cherished grandfather of Rachel, Leah, Madisen, Paul, Annaliese and Katrina Breite.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Norman Breite, Max Breite, Jr., and Paul Breite.
Warren was employed as an Engineer at General Metals Products in St. Louis for 31 years. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hannibal and a long-time member of Zion Lutheran Church of Ferguson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church of Hannibal, Zion Lutheran Church of Ferguson, or Immanuel Lutheran Church of St. Charles Music Program.
Shirley Ann Anderson-Gibbs
Shirley Ann Anderson-Gibbs, 52, of Hannibal, died at 12:25 a.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
Funeral Services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Wesley Foster officiated.
Visitation was from noon until the time of services Saturday at the James O’Donnell Funeral Home.
Burial was in Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal.
Jeffrey Lee Pollock
Jeffrey Lee Pollock, 53, of Bowling Green, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014 at his home in Bowling Green.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m., Saturday, May 31, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green, with Rev. Kurt Greenwood officiating. Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until time of service.
