Fatal shooting in Annada

A fatal shooting in far southeastern Pike County is under investigation by the office of Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte. So far, the shooting death of Clinton D. Collins, 38, of rural Annada, on Saturday, May 23, appears to be a case of home-owner self defense, Korte said.   • Henderson gets 4-year deal to lead Louisiana

    The Louisiana City Council has approved a four-year deal with Kelly Henderson to stay on as city administrator, according to Mayor Bart Niedner. Henderson will be paid $65,000 in 2015-2016, with slight bumps each year to reach $73,000 by 2018-2019. He will also earn health benefits. Three Louisiana Bulldogs made all-state at the Class 2 Missouri track championship on Friday and Saturday, May 22-23 and junior Denise Blackwell won first place in the 300 meter hurdles.     Senior Dallas Castagna was the leading scorer for the Louisiana High golf team in the first round of the Class 1 state golf tournament. It started Monday, May 18 at Meadow Lake Acres in New Bloomfield. Castagna shot an 85, putting him in a tie for 17th place out of 88 total golfers.
