Three Bowling Green individuals suffered minor injuries in a crash off Hwy. 161 on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Kale Kiefer,25 was driving with passengers Jack Dubach,Robert Grummel, and Devan Schuckenbrock north on Hwy. 161 in a 1978 Ford F250 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report.
Kiefer overcorrected the truck when the car slid and overturned on its passenger side.
Dubach,23, and Grummel,23, were taken to Hannibal Regional by private conveyance. Schuckenbrock,24, was treated and released on scene.
No one was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
The car took extensive damage and was left at the scene.
Operation Christmas Child
On Sunday, Oct. 8, a shoebox packing party called Operation Christmas Child will take place at the First Christian Church from 2 – 5 p.m.
The shoeboxes are packed with items and shipped to children for the holidays.
Event host Chadwick Dowell is working on a list of common items for the shoeboxes.
St. John’s homecoming
St. John’s Episcopal Church in Eolia will be celebrating its annual homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 1, during an 11 a.m. Holy Communion service.
Music will be provided by Kevin Hampton on pump organ.
A carry in meal will follow the service.
