Route D crash
A Jacksonville, Ill., man suffered serious injuries in a single vehicle crash off Route D north of County Road 232 on the afternoon of Sunday, June 3.
Phillip Pohlman, 52, was riding his 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
He was transported to Pike County Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The bike took moderate damage. Pohlman was wearing his safety device at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Bicentennial update
The bust of John Brooks Henderson has been bronzed with the finishing touches being added.
The pedestal construction for the bust will begin soon at Henderson Park.
Line up for the Patriots Parade will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, at Louisiana High School. Decorated motorcycles to lead the way are still needed for the parade.
Veterans, American Legion members and a National Guard detachment will be participating.
On Wednesday, July 4, the Elks will hold a breakfast for veterans and their families while collecting donations for the Veterans Home in Mexico.
