Bridge update
Intermittent lane closures for Hwy. 54 in Illinois may be a possibility as construction crews continue work on water casings for piers.
“Crews are clearing trees on the Illinois side of the bridge now to prepare the area for additional construction on the new bridge,” MoDOT Area Engineer Brian Haeffner said.
“The work will be taking place over the next month and we appreciate the patience of those who drive across the bridge in the event of a brief closure.”
