A voice from the past sprung to life to recount her story at the American Legion on Thursday, Nov. 9.
The Louisiana Area Historical Museum held its annual banquet with the program “Molly Brown of Hannibal” being the main spectacle.
The performance from Lisa Marks as Molly Brown was riveting and left the room silent as she recounted the moments when the ship struck the iceberg until she reached shore.
The details of the show were thorough and delivered naturally which painted the illusion that Brown was actually on stage.
Marks began with the history and background of Brown’s family and life in Hannibal, her time in Leadville, Col., and concluded the act with Brown’s death from a brain tumor.
