Bond projects, budgets and new board members. These were among the topics of the Louisiana school board meeting on Monday, June 18.
Progress on the bond projects are moving along, with work on the bathrooms and HVAC work already underway.
“The bathrooms have come along very well and will be a wonderful addition,” Louisiana Superintendent Dr. Todd Smith said.
“They’re starting to drop the AC units on the roofs [and] pulling the old ones down. The biggest one is for elementary and where the center in the cafeteria crowns [is where] that is doing to drop down. There’s one in there now that will be dismantled, piece it out and drop the new one in with a crane.”
AT&T is running a fiber line to create a bridge between both buildings.
The target date for completion of these projects is August 3, according to Smith.
