Current Louisiana City Prosecutor Nathan Carroz has announced he will be resigning his position on Wednesday, Oct. 31 as he will begin full-time work in Montgomery County.
A special council meeting was held on Monday, Oct. 8, in addition to the city council’s regular meeting, in order for Mayor Marvin Brown to recommend David Ferman as Carroz’s replacement.
The council voted in favor of Ferman to become the new city prosecutor. He is also Louisiana’s city attorney.
Ward Three Alderman Chuck Hoffman will be resigning from the Louisiana City Council on Oct. 22. He recommended Nancy Evans as his replacement for the council liaison to the Historic Parks Committee (HPC).
