Louisiana’s 10th annual city-wide yard sale is set for Saturday, Aug. 2, from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. This is an excellent opportunity for all residents to clean out attics, basements, closets and garages. Each year the participation grows, drawing a large gathering of customers from a 25-mile radius looking for bargains and treasures.
The Chamber of Commerce sponsors this event and anyone in Louisiana can participate with a nominal fee and a completed form which can be picked up at the Chamber of Commerce’s new office location (221 Mansion) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday thru Friday, any Abel’s Quik Shop (Louisiana locations), or the Louisiana Press Journal office, or on line at www.louisiana-mo.com.
To be included on a sales location map, return the completed form with the $5 fee to the Chamber office no later than noon, Thursday, July 31.
Those who decide to have a sale after the deadline of July 31 may still sign up, but cannot be assured of inclusion on the map. Paid participants will be supplied with balloons and a yard sale sign.
