Scott Straub, CPA, from Wade Stables, presented the annual audit evaluation to the Louisiana School Board at the meeting on Monday, Dec. 17. The audit was entirely clean with no findings. Straub finished the report by telling the board that, “We’ve always enjoyed coming to this one because everyone is always in really good shape.”
The board also recognized that the Louisiana Middle School has seen incredible improvements on i-Ready tests since the first test in September.
“i-Ready is an online resource that assesses students’ academic skills through adaptive diagnostic tests in reading and math,” Lacy White, Curriculum and Professional Development Director at Louisiana R-II, told the Louisiana Press-Journal in an email. “It helps teachers design individualized instruction for them based on each student’s needs and gives them goals to reach through the year. At the middle school, 83 percent of our students stayed on grade level or increased from the first to the second diagnostic test this year! The last assessment will be in March.”
In addition, Louisiana Elementary School had 156 students achieve perfect attendance in November.
