The Louisiana Country Colorfest began in 1985 and is held each year on the third weekend in October. It’s the largest festival event in Pike County Missouri. The festival area covers Georgia Street from 7th Street to the Riverfront Park.
The Louisiana Country Colorfest is a traditional street festival including arts, crafts, food and entertainment. Talent show, Miss Louisiana Pageant, Little Mr. and Miss Louisiana Pageant, Car Show, Motorcycle Show, Colorfest Parade, Baby Show and Fireman’s Challenge are just some of the events that take place each year.
Thousands line the streets to take part in the activities and to visit the over 70 food and craft vendors.
There is always a large turnout for the annual car show upwards of 150 cars. Prizes are awarded for multiple categories.
