The Louisiana Lady Bulldogs were unable to score more than 27 points in any of there three tough EMO Conference losses recently.
Against the Clopton Lady Hawks, Louisiana was unable to do much in a 69-27 loss.
“I thought we played the most confident, aggressive quarter we’ve played during the first quarter,” said Louisiana head coach Derrick Branstetter. “Their pressure can make you very passive, but I thought we at least attacked it during that quarter. We got tired and our lack of depth hurt us as the game progressed but that is understandable.”
Faith Rule led the Lady Bulldogs with nine points, six rebounds, and one assist; Maria Gutierrez added four points, eight rebounds, and one steal; Kamara Combs scored four points, two rebounds, and one steal; Mechia Campbell had four points and two rebounds; Michelle Watts scored three points, two rebounds, two assists, and one steal; Caitlyn Gloe had three points and three rebounds; and Jamie Sencenbaugh had one steal.
On Courtwarming Night against Elsberry, the Lady Bulldogs fell behind 21-8 at halftime. Though they won the fourth quarter by five points, their late rally fell short in a 38-22 loss.
