The inaugural Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament played Friday, Aug. 1 was won by the Shelter Insurance team.
Team members Tim Jenkins, Brett Branstetter and D.J. Koester dodged raindrops and won the trophy at the Pike County Country Club.
Taking second place was Team Wallace. Team members were Tommy Wallace Jr., Ed Woods and Leroy Perkins.
Team Henderson captured third place with members Kelly Henderson,Robert Branstetter and Randell Borrowman.
The longest drive contest was won by Greg Pitzer.
Closest to the pin was Brett Branstetter.
Leroy Perkins won the chipping challenge and Team Calumet was named the most honest team.
There were a total of 24 players on eight teams.
“I’m happy with the turnout,” said Chamber Director Chris Koetters. “It was a test run and we’ll improve on it next year.”
The fundraiser brought in more than $1,000 for chamber activities, Koetters said.
