On Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 Don Ince, long time resident of Louisiana, celebrated his 90th birthday.
Don has officially served the city of Louisiana Fire Department for 52 years. Anyone who knows him knows he would be at a big fire today, if only to bring water and check on the guys.
He served at the Montgomery City Fire Department from 1952-1962, the Centralia Fire Department from 1956-1962, and from 1960 until his retirement in 2014 from Louisiana.
His total volunteer years of service is 64.
That says a lot about the man and his dedication and passion for the fire service.
He was surprised with the fire truck that is considered “his“ truck with lights and sirens blaring.
Although this truck is no longer in service, Louisiana Fire Chief Phillip Quattrocchi and Louisiana City Administrator Kelly Henderson made sure that everything was in place to honor this true Louisiana hero.
