Hawks use Bowling Green meet as district tune up

The Clopton Hawks cross country team had one final tuneup before the district meet.
The team traveled to Bowling Green on Friday, Oct. 20.
Junior Donovan Denslow medaled in second place and set a new personal record with a time of 17:23 for the boys team.
Freshman Daniel Harvey also set a personal record with a time of 19:46 (46th place).
Senior Landon Hall placed 59th (20:26), sophomore Jared Hoehn placed 67th (20:49, a new personal record), and senior Parker Edmiston placed 102nd (23:14).
For the girls team sophomore Tricia Luke set a personal record with a time of 23:40 and placed in 29th.
Freshmen Caragan Lockard placed 33rd (24:17), Megan Harrelson placed 50th (25:34, a new personal record), Megan Richards placed 61st (27:14) and Kari Leake placed 74th with a time of 28:25.
The district meet will take place on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Pike County Fairgrounds in Bowling Green.
