With the football season rapidly approaching, heat hovering in the mid-nineties, and a shortage of football officials causing changes in scheduling, Mr. Joe Calhoun, the new head football coach at LHS, wanted to make sure his assistant coaches were properly credited.
“Tommy Fallert is very knowledgeable. He’s one of the most knowledgeable coaches I’ve worked with. We bounce ideas off each other a lot. That really helps,” said Coach Calhoun.
“Matt Smith has a lot of energy and passion. He demands a lot from his players. That has really helped us. He’s our head basketball coach and has been really successful with that. It helps with our confidence,” he said.
“Greg Pitzer is a combination of the two. This is his first year coaching at the high school level. He helped out a little bit last year at the middle school as a volunteer. He has a lot of knowledge, and he also has a lot of energy,” he said.
The middle school coaches are Craig Pederson and Brett Kirtlink.
