Clopton High School alumnus, class of 1973, Duke DuVall, was honored at the graduation exercises of the Dwight McDaniels Theological Seminary in St. Louis. The seminary is part of an association of more than 300 Christian colleges and graduate schools worldwide that are committed to excellence in Biblical scholarship and training teachers, preachers and missionaries in global evangelism and servant leadership.
The seminary recognized DuVall’s 30 years of international service to Biblical studies and worldwide Christian education by conferring an honorary Doctorate of Divinity degree.
DuVall began his international missions work in the remote jungles of Papua New Guinea in 1984 and has served as Executive Director of Light of The World Ministries for the past 21 years, preaching and speaking throughout the world, including assignments in Germany, Japan, Australia, Switzerland and Russia.

DuVall is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton DuVall Jr. of Clarksville, who also attended the seminary event.
