LHS Music Department will host its first annual Cake Concert on Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. to see the cakes and pies available for auction and for open seating.
Pike County Center for Women’s Ministries will be starting classes on Making Peace with Your Past by Tim Sledge beginning May 7. This women’s only class will be Thursdays at 6 p.m. for 11 weeks at Pike County Health and Hospice Conference Room. The class is limited in size and there is a workbook fee. The Susianna Houston Missionary Society will hold its annual missionary program and brunch Saturday, May 16 at 11 a.m. at Bethel AME Church in Paynesville. Program will be “Fruit of The Spirit” with special music by various soloists. Both women and men are welcome to attend.
