Annual meeting of the Corinth Cemetery Association will be held at 10 a.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 at the cemetery.

Memorial Day service @ American Legion
May 25 @ 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Memorial Day services will be held at 10 a.m. inside the American Legion, 420 Kelly Lane, Louisiana. A meal will be served after the service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. All veterans and their families are encouraged to attend.

Memorial Day Service @ Memorial Gardens in Bowling Green

VFW Post 5553 of Bowling Green will have a Memorial Day Service at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 25 in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bowling Green.

CPR class @ Pike County Health Department
May 27 @ 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm

A CPR class will be provided by Pike County Health Department for healthcare providers at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27 at the Health Department. For fee information or to schedule an appointment, call the Health Department at 573-324-2111.

Clarksville Garden Club meeting

The Clarksville Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 28 at the Clarksville Boat Club.

Louisiana Farmers’ Market

The Louisiana Farmers’ Market will operate on Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Sunset Park.

Making Peace with Your Past classes @ Pike County Health and Hospice Conference Room
May 28 @ 11:00 pm – May 29 @ 12:00 am

Pike County Center for Women’s Ministries will be starting classes on Making Peace with Your Past by Tim Sledge beginning May 7. This women’s only class will be Thursdays at 6 p.m.  for 11 weeks at Pike County Health and Hospice Conference Room.  The class is limited in size and there is a workbook fee. The class will be taught by Pastor Dawn Marie Turner and Lori Pfautsch. To register or obtain more information call Dawn Marie at 573-470-6704.

Blood drive @ Trimble House Horseshoe room

The Trimble House Senior Center will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Friday, May 29 in the Horseshoe Room at 202 S. Main St. in Louisiana. To make an appointment go to the Red Cross website at redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code: Trimble.

Stark signs to play baseball at Hannibal-LaGrange

Fresh from a district game-winning homer, Louisiana High catcher Collin Stark has signed to play baseball for Hannibal-LaGrange University.

“I’m excited to get going,” Stark said. “My sisters went there and I always thought I might go there anyway and then this happened with baseball.”
