The Frankford First Christian Church will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 4-6 p.m. in the lower level of the church at 111 North Main Cross in Frankford. Maid rites, hot dogs, drinks, ice cream and cake will be available. Proceeds will be used for church building maintenance.

Pike Co. Memorial Hospital Diabetic Support Group will meet Sept. 3 at 6:30 p.m. in the hospital cafeteria. The topic will be Diabetes and Exercise.

The Ecumenical Women’s Breakfast group will meet at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 508 N. 3rd St. in Louisiana, at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 8. A presentation on health issues will be given. All women of faith are encouraged to attend. A donation of $5 for the breakfast goes to local missions of the group.
