The annual BONCL Chili Supper will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 5-8 p.m in the BONCL school gymnasium. Chili and vegetable soup will be available as well as sandwiches, homemade desserts and drinks. A silent auction will be held along with bingo, a cake walk and many other games. The Ashburn Rural Volunteer Fire Department will hold a turkey shoot on Sunday, Nov. 9 beginning at noon at the Ashburn Fire Station (take Highway 79, 18 miles south from Hannibal or 14 miles north from Louisiana, to Route TT; go one mile and the fire station is on the left).
Ammunition furnished for each shoot 4-10, 20 and 12 gauge.
Prizes: Ham, pork loin, turkey and bacon.
Shoot at paper targets.
Food and drinks will be available.
All proceeds will go to the Ashburn Rural Volunteer Fire Department to help with operating expenses and to purchase new and up to date equipment.
No alcohol allowed.
