Pike County Historical Society will meet Tuesday, Oct. 14 at Pike Pioneers Senior Center in Louisiana. Candy Chambers of the Clarence Cannon Wildlife Area at Annada will tell the history of the area. Democrats of Pike County will meet on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pike County Health Department conference room.  Lowell Jackson, State Representative candidate and Terry Burris, Presiding Commissioner candidate, will be on the program.  Also, someone will be speaking about constitutional amendment #3 concerning teachers. Frankford Volunteer Rural Fire Department will hold its fourth annual Ham and Bean lunch served with corn bread, homemade desserts, tea and coffee in the Frankford Christian Church basement on Oct. 19 from 11:30 a.m. until ???  A good will offering will be accepted to help with a new Rural Fire Department Building expenses.
