• Tuesday, April 11, Pike County Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Curryville Presbyterian Church. The program will center on a relatively new Pike County business, Meyer Farm and Lavender Fields, with Peggy Meyer presenting the story of the business. Friday, April 21, The Hannibal Mark Twain Chapter of the Active and Retired Missouri State Employees (ARMSE) will meet beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Nutrition Center, 219 South Tenth Street in Hannibal. Drew Earls, Wellness Director of the Hannibal YMCA will present the program. All current and retired State employees are encouraged to attend. Reservations are not required. Sunday, April 23, The Noix Creek Cemetary Association will hold their annual meeting at 2:00 p.m. at the Elmwood Presbyterian Church on S. 30th Street in Louisiana. Spring Clean-up and a possible fund raiser will be discussed.
Clopton Alumni Choir holds rehearsals on the last Saturday of each month at the Clarksville Christian Church on Highway 79 from 10 a.m. until noon.
Saturday, April 29, a Greenwood Cemetery breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. at the American Legion Post 349. A ceremony will take place where flags are placed in antique metal holders in honor of Veteran’s Day.
