The 2017 State 4-H Public Speaking Contest will take place Saturday, September 30 on the MU Campus. Those selected at Achievement Night can register via 4HoOnline by August 31.

Saturday, Sept. 30, Pike County Senior Citizens Center at 220 West Adams Street in Pittsfield request you to come join them for country music by Tim and Tammie Welch from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Concessions start at 5:00p.m. with grilled tenderloin sandwich as the featured item along with hot dogs, desserts and soft serve ice cream. Carry outs available.
National 4-H Week will be held the first week in October. The theme for this year will be “Grow True Leaders”.

• Wednesday, Oct. 4, Pike County Chapter NSDAR will meet at 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on S. 8th St. in Louisiana. There will be a program about Louisiana’s Bicentennial Celebration. All members are urged to attend and visitors are welcome.
