• Wednesday, Oct. 4, Pike County Chapter NSDAR will meet at 5 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on S. 8th St. in Louisiana. There will be a program about Louisiana’s Bicentennial Celebration. All members are urged to attend and visitors are welcome.

The fall $-H shooting sports leader certification workshop will be held October 6-8, 2017. Registration is now open and accepting enrollments. The workshop will take place at Pinecrest Camp in Fredericktown. The cost for the workshop will be $90.00 and includes five meals and overnight lodging. Registration is through 4HOnline at http://mo.4honline.com and will close on August 31.

Saturday, October 7, Greenwood Cemetery breakfast at the American Legion in Clarksville from 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Menu includes grilled sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fried apples, homemade apple butter, coffee, juice and milk. Charge for adults will be $8 and $4 for 5 years old or younger.
