Saturday, October 7, Greenwood Cemetery breakfast at the American Legion in Clarksville from 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Menu includes grilled sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, fried apples, homemade apple butter, coffee, juice and milk. Charge for adults will be $8 and $4 for 5 years old or younger.
Troop 156 meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Scout House in Sunset Park. All boys ages 11 to 18 years are welcome to come and join.

Saturday, Oct. 14, Clarksville United Methodist Church will be serving a fried chicken dinner (2 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans,hot rolls, home-made dessert and drink) from 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Located at the four way stop in Clarksville at Highway 79 and Howard Street. Carry outs available.

• Sunday, Oct. 15, Ashburn Fire Dept. Turkey Shoot at 12 p.m., 18 miles south of Hannibal on Hwy. 79 or 14 miles north of Louisiana on Hwy 79. Rain or Shine! Shells will be furnished for 4.10, 20, and 12 gauge. Prizes are ham, pork loin, turkey and bacon. Hope to see you and bring a friend! All proceeds will help the Fire Dept. purchase equipment.
Monday, Oct. 16, Pike-Linn Quilters meeting at 10 a.m., Mary Queen of Peace Church. Program will be Demo Flying Geese and Sew on Borders. Lunch will be served. Everyone is welcome to attend. Workers are needed for the Quilt Booth at the Appleshed.
