The Hannibal Mark Twain Chapter of the Active and Retired Missouri State Employees (ARMSE) will meet on Friday, October 20, 2017 beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the Nutrition Center, 219 South Tenth Street in Hannibal. This month’s program will be a presentation on the Shrine Hospitals. All current and retired State employees are encouraged to attend. Reservations are not required. 33rd Annual Louisiana Colorfest – Louisiana’s annual autumn celebration features activities such as a parade, talent show, car show, lip-sync contest, motorcycle show, baby show, arts & crafts, and a Kid’s Corner. Activities may vary. There will be plenty of food, beverages, entertainment, and vendors on the grounds.
Troop 156 meets every Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the Scout House in Sunset Park. All boys ages 11 to 18 years are welcome to come and join.

Saturday, Oct. 28, City of Paynesville Pre-Halloween Fest from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 29, Frankford Rural Fire Department will host its 7th annual Ham & Bean lunch at the Frankford Christian Church beginning at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will include cornbread, home made dessert, tea and coffee. A good will offering will be accepted to offset expenses.
