The Clopton Hawks cross country team wrapped up its season at the state meet on Saturday, Nov. 4, in Jefferson City.
Junior Donovan Denslow made the First Team All State after he medaled in eighth place with a time of 17:29.
Denslow was a consistent force for Clopton this year, medaling in nine meets for the team.
He placed 31st in state last season.
Freshman Daniel Harvey placed 102nd with a time of 19:37.
Senior Landon Hall placed 138th with a time of 20:40.
Senior Blake Kendall (21:21) placed 145th, sophomore Jared Hoehn (21:30) came in 148th and senior Parker Edmiston (22:42) placed 160th.
The boys team finished 13th overall at the state meet.
It was the team’s second straight trip to the state meet after missing out in more than a decade previous to last season.
Sophomore Tricia Luke was the lone representative for the girls team and placed 94th with a time of 24:55.
The success of Denslow and the boys team has helped the program grow in numbers over the last few seasons with the team having six new runners this year.
