FFA Week was celebrated at Clopton Schools the last full week of February.
On Friday, Feb. 24 the Clopton FFA Chapter held two events in culmination of the week including the annual Farmers’ Breakfast and a “Kiss the Pig” contest.
Throughout the week, four Clopton teachers were competing to raise the most funds to be donated to Relay For Life of Pike County. The winning teacher then got to share a celebratory kiss with a baby pig in front of the Clopton staff and student body at an assembly.
The competing teachers were Craig Smith, Colleen O’Brien, Beth Holland and Doreen Schneidler.
Teacher Beth Holland was the winner of the “Kiss the Pig” contest.
The Farmers’ Breakfast was a success with many farmers enjoying the breakfast served by FFA members.
