The Clarksville Memorial VFW Post 4610 and Auxiliary held their regular meeting with Commander Herbert Everett and President Mary Tarpein Presiding, with several members attending for Post and Auxiliary.
Plans were finalized for Eagle Day activities to held on Saturday Jan. 26 and Sunday Jan, 27, they will be serving BBQ plates and sandwiches, pork steak, pork burgers, hamburgers, large hot dogs. Plates will consist of baked beans, potato salad, dessert, and drink. They will also have chili.
They will also hold a 50/50 raffle, to be given away on Sunday Afternoon at 3 p.m.
Serving time will be Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Other discussion on the Council Of Administration meeting to be held in Jefferson City on Feb. 3.
The District Meeting is to be held in Clarence, Mo. on Sunday, Jan. 20.
Meal at 12 p.m. and meeting at 1 p.m.
A lovely Thank You Card was read from Daryl Starks for the Care Packages that he received.
Youth Chairman Joanne spoke of an event to be scheduled to set date later in the year as recommended by the National VFW. As for the Family Freedom Festival, there were three youth that attended the meeting.
We are looking forward to having another great year.
