The members of city council congregated for over two and a half hours and formerly swore in old and new faces.
Council members Nancy Evans, Kathy Smith, Brice Chandler and Chris Koetters were sworn in after all were voted to remain in their seats on Tuesday, April 4.
Louisiana Fire Chief Mike Poyser was also formerly appointed.
After taking the oath, the council members discussed what the city’s priorities should be for the next 12 months.
The council listed economic development, infrastructure, beautification, code enforcement, the Champ Clark Bridge and public safety as their top concerns.
