The Louisiana Press-Journal contacted Louisiana City Administrator Kelly Henderson regarding several large holes that are in some of the front yards along Georgia Street. The holes were dug there by the City due to the City water project that is replacing water lines and services.
“Other projects temporarily pulled our small staff away from this project. Those projects have reached a point which the City can prioritize the Georgia St. water project again,” Henderson said in an emailed statement to the Louisiana Press-Journal. “We were able to install some services last week and fill some of the open areas. When weather and ground conditions allow, the City will continue to progress on this project. We are very confident the weather will allow completion long before the March 15 deadline.”
