Bulldogs in the hunt for a district championship

Posted on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:30 pm

If you blink, you may miss the fast break machine that is the Louisiana Bulldogs basketball team.
The team finished 22-6 (6-2 district) last year and reached the district championship game against Clopton.
This year’s squad has a chance to avenge that loss and move past the district round after returning the majority of last year’s team.
Coach Matt Smith’s goals for the team this year are simple.
“[We want to] get better every day with relentless effort and be 1-0 after every game,” he said.
The team will start Derek Richards, Isaac King, Zach Ellsworth, Zac Harrison and Dalton Oberhaus for the 2017-18 season.

The 2017-18 Louisiana boys basketball team is, front row from left: Isaac King, Kellen Dewey, Gabe Bowser, Tyler Pedersen, Zach Ellsworth, Jacob Gray and Matthew Harrison. Back row, Dalton Oberhaus, Zac Harrison, Tyler Hopkins, Remington Feldewerth, Derek Richards and Michael Francis.
