Bethel AME Church holds Second Annual Banquet and Fashion Show

The Bethel AME Church of Paynesville held their 2nd Annual Banquet and Fashion Show at Clopton High School on Saturday, April 7, 2018.
The event started with a dinner at 6:00 p.m. followed by the Fashion Show and entertainment at 7:00 p.m.
Approximately 140 were in attendance for this event.
Fashions were modeled by males, females and youth.
Youth models were Mia and Marlee Dameron and Daniki Martin for the Rocking Horse in Clarksville. Chelsea and Caylee Browser modeled clothes from Old Navy and Children Place. Jillian Chier and Kaysea Fullon modeled for Nancy’s Thrifts and Gifts of Elsberry. Sophia and Kaden Simmons modeled for Target and Cat & Pack.
Young adults modeling for Factory Connection in Troy were Jada Irvin, Tyra and Tyneshia Henderson. Kiariah Morris and Ashley Conley modeled for Rue 21.
Adult model Roberta Watts modeled African attire for her first outfit and ‘An After Five’ evening dress from Jessica Kline for her second outfit.
Adult model Patti Quattrocchi modeled three outfits from CATO in Troy. The first was a sportswear outfit, the second was casual wear and the final outfit was evening wear of a white lace two piece dress with a black shell.
Adult model Kathy Love wore a casual outfit that can be worn for date light, lunch or church as her first outfit. For her second outfit she modeled a blue lace after 5 dress from Jessica Howard.
Elizabeth Bryant also modeled adult wear from CATO’s in Troy wearing a white dress with black polka dots with a black hat, great for church or an evening out.
Sis. Arvella Strong, First Lady of Bethel Paynesville, modeled two adult outfits. The first outfit was a two piece purple dress and coat. Her second outfit was a lime green two piece suit and pink hat with rhinestones.
The Elegance Made Simple Wedding Shoppe Gowns were unable to be at the show. The manager was out of town and no one was available to bring the gowns. Models present for the gowns were Sabrina Stewart, Teneal Smith and Phylicia Grimmett.
Male model Mr. Dale Conley modeled a grey suit from J.C. Penney’s in Hannibal.
Male model Rev. Charlie Wright, Sr. modeled a five piece purple suit with a purple and lavender shirt all from Charlie’s Fashions.
Male model Rev. C. Jessel Strong, Pastor of Bethel, modeled a blue double breasted suit and yellow shirt.
Door prizes were given during the evening.
It was a great evening with entertainment by Mrs. Micki Henderson, Mr. Shawn ad Miss Shaylen Martin. They ended the evening with ‘How Great is Our God’.
The church expresses a big thank you to everyone that participated and helped in any way to make this event a success.
The church looks forward to the first Saturday in April of 2019, for the 3rd annual event.
