The Back-to-School Fair at the Pike County Fairgrounds on Saturday helped approximately 600 students prepare for the first day of school.
“This was our tenth year,” said Mrs. Kathie Branstetter, chairperson of the Pike County Back-to-School Fair.
“We had about 27 booths both inside and outside this year,” she said. “We wanted there to be more room inside the building so that people could take advantage of the agencies who were there.”
Students and their parents were able to pick up school supplies as well as information on several programs offered in Pike County.
“The first year was not organized well,” Mrs. Branstetter said. “But, every year it has gotten better. Each year we try to add a new supply so they can have everything they need.”
