The yearly Louisiana Chamber of Commerce banquet will take place on Friday, April 7 at the Elk’s Lodge.
“It was really nice putting this together with the help of the chamber board. It came together well,” Louisiana Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Anne Luebrecht said.
Five awards will be presented on the night, up from the three from last year.
The awards will be Chamber Member of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Community Contributor, Chamber Champion and one award presented by Louisiana Community Betterment.
Last year’s Chamber Member of the Year was Jenna Loveless; Patty Bolton was Citizen of the Year and Ritchie Minor was Community Contributor.
Tom Wallace will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Neil Darnell will provide musical entertainment.
A presentation about the Champ Clark Bridge project will be given by Transportation Project Manager Keith Killen also, according to Luebrecht.
Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. with a social hour taking place beforehand.
Various community organizations will have booths set up during the social hour.
Dinner will be prime rib, baked potatoes and green beans.
The event was R.S.V.P. only with 95 expected to show up.
