Chuck Tophinke, the current Louisiana Middle School principal, will be retiring at the end of the school year.
“I just decided this was time to move on and look for a new challenge. There’s really no reason I’m wanting to retire its just I decided it was time to look for something different.” he said.
Currently Tophinke has no plans after he hangs it up for good on Friday, June 30.
“I haven’t even started looking. I’m going to take a little time after I officially retire and start looking around,” he said.
“I love the summer so I’m enjoying a little extra time on the river and at the lake and early fall I’ll start looking around and see what I can find.”

Louisiana Middle School Principal Chuck Tophinke will retire from the job on Friday, June 30 after spending 30 years in the district, with 17 years being spent as the principal. He currently has no plans for the future.
