    A Louisiana man was killed Friday, July 11 when he stepped in front of a car on Hwy. 96 in Illinois, according to the Pike County, Ill. Sheriff’s Department. Daniel L.     Raintree Arts Council has announced the hiring of Laurel Norton as its new Executive Director. Norton lives in rural Clarksville. Originally from St. Louis,  she has lived in Pike County since 1998. Norton has had a variety of jobs both in St. Louis and Clarksville.
