Pink flamingos

The River of Life Church youth group is doing a fundraiser throughout the towns of Louisiana and Bowling Green. A flock of pink flamingos may land in your yard. It is based on donations and whether permission is granted. They are installed for a few days, then for a donation they will migrate to a new house of your choice.

  • GFWC celebrates the Christmas season

    Members of GFWC Chautauqua recently celebrated the holiday season with a dinner at the Clarksville Boat Club. The event was hosted by Mary Dockery and Debbie Woodall. Following a social gathering there was a brief business meeting.   • FTA sponsors Great Turkey Challenge

    MoDOT has set the following road work for this week and in the future: • Business Hwy. 61 in Bowling Green will be down to one-lane traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2 as the Press-Journal went to press. Ditch work will be done from the Hwy. 161 intersection to the roundabout near Walmart. • Weather permitting on Wednesday, Dec. 3, MoDOT crews will close Hwy.
