Louisiana Fire Department’s Haunted House fundraiser will be held Oct. 30 thru Nov. 1 beginning at 6 p.m. each day at the Elks Lodge, 120 N. 5th St. in Louisiana. On Halloween the Elks Lodge will provide a free chili dog for participants that make it through the Haunted House. Sponsored by the Louisiana Elks Lodge 791.

Republicans of Pike County club will meet on November 6 at the Faith Baptist Church in Louisiana. The meeting will begin with a carry-in supper at 6:30. Anyone interested in promoting the conservative philosophy of government is invited to come and learn about our activities.
The annual BONCL Chili Supper will be held on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 5-8 p.m in the BONCL school gymnasium. Chili and vegetable soup will be available as well as sandwiches, homemade desserts and drinks. A silent auction will be held along with bingo, a cake walk and many other games. The public is invited to attend this community event. Carry out meals will be available.
