Counterfeit bills passed in Pittsfield

Counterfeit bills have popped up in Pittsfield, Ill. Pike County, Mo. merchants and residents are being urged to be on the lookout. Pike County Sheriff Stephen Korte said there have been no recent reports of counterfeit bills passed here.   • County Market to open August 19

    County Market officials said today the new store in Louisiana will open on Tuesday, Aug. 19.     The Farmers Market at Louisiana is underway again for the season under the chamber of commerce, but the Eolia farmers’ market has been suspended until the fall.
