Louisiana school board contemplates leaving CCC
The Louisiana R-II School Board had an often spirited discussion at the Monday, Oct. 21 meeting about whether the high school should stay in the Clarence Cannon Conference, or attempt to shift to the Eastern Missouri Conference.
Board members thinking about a possible shift cited lower transportation costs and a more competitive atmosphere for the football and softball programs. Those against a shift cited the CCC tradition and said the school’s teams were still competitive in other sports.
