Kathryn M. Tophinke, 81, of Pittsfield, formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Oct. 14, 2013 at the Eastside Health Center in Pittsfield, Ill.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at the St. Clement Cemetery with Rev. Don Amelung officiating.
Kathryn was born April 26, 1932 in Pike County, Ill., the daughter of Cecil Ray and Dorothy Izola Martin Davis. She married Robert Tophinke Oct. 30, 1982 in Paris. He preceded her in death on July 23, 2011. Survivors include one daughter Billie M. Ramsey and husband Richard of Nebo, Ill.; three grandchildren Crystal Eddington and husband Terry of Pittsfield, Quentin Ramsey and wife Stacy of Oletha, Kan., Amanda Orr of Pittsifield, Ill.; four great-grandchildren Brittni Hill and husband Brock of Pittsfield, Ill., Hannah Eddington of Pittsfield, Ill., Vayda Ramsey of Olathe, Kan., and Layla Ramsey of Olathe, Kan.
Mrs. Tophinke was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Dean Smith; brothers Glenn Davis and Charles Davis; and great-great grandsons Alden and Blane Brannan.
Kathryn lived in Nebo, Ill. most of her life. She moved to Bowling Green after she married Robert Tophinke. Mrs. Tophinke was a member of Calvery Baptist Church in Pittsfield, Ill., and loved going to church and singing her hymns. She also loved animals, shopping and eating out.
Serving as pallbearers will be Paul Davis, Rodney Davis, Mike Davis, Terry Eddington, Quentin Ramsey, and Richard Ramsey. Honorary pallbearer will be Richard Davis.
Memorials may be made to Pike County Home Health and Hospice or the local animal pound.
