Storch Ford-Mercury and the Louisiana Bulldog Boosters are partnering to help raise $6,000 as part of Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program. The fund raiser will be held Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Louisiana High School.
For everyone who test drives a new vehicle, $20 will be donated to the Bulldog Boosters.
The Ashburn rural volunteer fire department will hold a turkey shoot on Sun., Sept. 15 starting at noon, located at Ashburn fire station, take Hwy. 79 18 miles south from Hannibal, or 14 miles north 79 from Louisiana to Rt. TT, go one mile, the fire station will be on the left side of Rt. TT. Ammunition furnished for each shoot 7-10, 20 and 12 gauge. Prizes: Ham, pork loin, turkey and bacon. Paper targets are used. There will be food and drinks available. All proceeds will go to the Ashburn rural volunteer fire department to help with their operating expenses, and to purchase new and up-to-date equipment. NO alcohol allowed.
The Immanuel Baptist is sponsoring “Singing in the Park”, Sun. Sept. 15 at 2:30 p.m., with Doxology (Paul and Aleta Mills and Larry Siliven former HLG employees) a Southern Gospel Trio from Hannibal.
