Historical Museum sponsors tour to ASL Pewter Shop
Pat and Ned Glenn of Louisiana and Declan and Miriam Beer of Loveland, Colorado watch with interest as Pat Hooper demonstrates one of the many skills needed in creating pewter items.
The Louisiana Area Historical Museum sponsored a tour of the ASL Pewter Shop recently as part of its summer programming for kids of all ages.
Pat and Tom Hooper, shop owners and artisans, demonstrated to the parcipants the many ways they create their fine works of art that are sold locally in their studio at 123 South Third in Louisiana, and also shipped all over the world.
The Louisiana Area Historical Museum, located at 304 Georgia Street, is open to the public each week day from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are always welcome.
