Bank of Louisiana is excited to announce the addition of Charles “Charlie” T. Perkins to its board of directors. As a Director, Perkins will assist in overseeing the strategic planning and direction of the bank.
Perkins and his wife of 19 years, Mary, own and operate Trailerman Trailers, Inc. Under their leadership, Trailerman has grown from seven employees when purchased in 1997, to a present day staff of 44. In addition, they are in the process of expanding the facilities to increase production capabilities.
Together, the Perkins’ share a vested interest in the local community and are involved with several local organizations. Charlie has been on the Board for the Twin Pike Family YMCA for 5 years and holds the duel positions of fundraising chairman and treasurer.
Additionally, they volunteer as instructors for an aerobic workout class on Wednesdays at the YMCA, and have generously contributed to the Founders First 500, which is raising funds for the Phase III Indoor Aquatics Center.
Perkins has served for eight years on the board of Pike County Country Club and currently sits as the vice president and is also a member of the Elks Lodge Local No. 791 in Louisiana. In his spare time, Perkins enjoys the company of his three children: John, Jordan and Michelle; playing golf, taking part in a good game of poker and bike riding.
“Charlie will make an excellent addition to our board of directors,” said Amber Shafer, bank president.
“He is able to bring real life experiences and knowledge acquired through running a successful and thriving business to our boardroom and will ultimately help make Bank of Louisiana an even stronger institution than it is today.”
