Almost any day is a good day for golf and the golfers at the 17th Annual “Tee Off Fore Tott’s” Tournament agreed.
The Foundation for Pike County Memorial Hospital sponsored the event to raise funds to help meet the health care needs of children in Pike County.
Seventy-six golfers signed up for 18 holes of excitement at Eagle’s Bluff in Clarksville, representing a blend of community leaders, vendors and sponsors on Thursday, May 23. In addition, many who could not play in the tournament donated to the worthy event as well.
“The foundation is so appreciative of the support and participation in this event,” said Lorraine Harness, PCMH administrator, “More than $17,000 was raised this year.”
Community State Bank finished in first place with a score of 57. Not far behind was Calumet at 59. Mike Brewer of the Daffron Team sunk the longest putt and Don McCarty, The Dean Team, received closet to the pin. Last, but not least, the “Bogey Award,” was presented to Sleep Diagnostics who shot 74.
