May Community Calendar
Thursday, May 2:
Republicans of Pike County will meet at the Faith Baptist Church on Louisiana. Carry-in meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. followed by a business meeting. Everyone welcome to enjoy good food and good conversation.
Wednesday, May 3:
The Pike County Agency for Developmental Disabilities is hosting a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Vera Community Center, located south of Highway 54 between Louisiana and Bowling Green. The event will benefit the YMCA aquatic center project.
Saturday, May 4:
The Clarksville Antique Ramble is scheduled to be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitors can tour local businesses and two historic homes.
Noix Creek Cemetery Association will host a spring cleanup day at 9 a.m. If it rains, the new date will be May 18.
Saturday, May 11:
The comedy routine, “Cooking With Marge” will be the featured entertainment during the spring luncheon of the Louisiana Area Historical Museum to be held at noon, at Seton Center, 510 N. 3rd St. Tickets will be available from any board member, or by calling 754-4443 or 754-6495.
Friday, May 10:
Pike County Christian School will be having a fish fry on Friday, May 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information, call PCCS office at 573-324-2700.
Thursday, May 16:
The Pike County Democratic Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the Cozy C Campground meeting room. Reservations can be made by calling Sherry McCarty at 573-470-0325.
Thursday, May 23:
There will be an informational meeting for parents and students interested in the A+ Scholarship Program on Thursday, May 16, 2013 in the Louisiana High School computer lab.
The Clarksville Garden Club will meet at noon for lunch at Avenue of the Saints, Bowling Green. Program will be a tour of Diane Mollerus’ Garden, Highway NN, Bowling Green. Shirley Buckley, hostess, will welcome guests and members.
